eSnap™ leverages the existing security models of an enterprise’s operating system, database engine and web servers.  The platform allows you to specify which users can perform specific actions according to their role and security permissions. Individual users are assigned to groups that either have, or do not have, privileges to view information contained in a Snapin. Security in eSnap™ employs further granularity by allowing different users to access, view and share diverse subsets of data. This is done by associating the users with certain data restrictions based on their group affiliations; which can be automated through SQL statements.

Permission is granted or access is restricted to ensure appropriate levels of data retrieval. For instance, West Coast Project Managers may only be permitted to view the projects they manage, whereas West coast Program Managers would be able to see all of the projects in the region. An Accounting group could have access to financial pages within a Snapin, while the Executive group would have access to the full Snapin for the entire company.
