Solution Summary
3HT developed a website for Legacy Financial Group to provide home buyers, current home owners, and buyers of investment properties with information about the company, solicit new clients for the Group, and to urge users to contact Legacy Financial and speak to a loan officer about the service options the company can extend. The website is fast, easy to navigate, and simple to maintain. The design incorporates the company's logo and branding, giving the site its own identity, and distinguishing it from the other sites with a similar scope of services.

ENVIRONMENT
The Legacy Financial Group is a fully licensed full-service mortgage provider. The company has four locations across the country, with hundreds of customers nationwide.

CHALLENGE
As the Legacy Financial Group is an aggressively growing company, they identified the need for a website in order to reach a wide number of customers all over the US - current, as well as potential ones - and to convey information about the services the Group can offer.

The company wanted a website that would be fast, easy to navigate and locate the information, and simple to maintain. The main challenges for the team were good usage of imagery and a friendly navigation scheme, as the company wanted to achieve the most inviting feel for users, encouraging their interactivity.

SOLUTION
3HT developed a website for Legacy Financial Group whose purpose is to provide home buyers, current home owners, and buyers of investment properties with information about the compnay in order to solicit new clients for the Group, and to urge users to contact Legacy Financial and speak to a loan officer about the service options the company can extend.

The website incorporates the company's logo, giving the site its own identity, and distinguishing it from other sites for companies with a similar scope of services. The logo designed by 3H team is very informative and clearly conveys the image of a financial company to the users.

The website employs a highly intuitive navigation scheme which provides easy access to the "Home" and "Teams" pages, and is consistent on all pages across the website.

The "Home" page is the front page of the site, giving the customer an idea of what Legacy Financial Group is and what they do.

The "Teams" page provides an entry to four of the Company's locations, and contains the information on the staff, loan officers' biographies and skills descriptions, contact information, appointment requests, pre-approval agreements, and partners information.

The site is both Netscape (4.x and up) and IE (4.x and up) compatible.

The site contains a client/administrator logon area, that presents a login screen with the "Request a login" section for new users. The section provides instructions for new customers on how and where to call for the username and password.

When given a username and password, users are enabled to access a secure area titled "My Legacy", with information pertaining to this particular user. Depending on the roles, which are assigned at the time of the registration, the users will see different navigation schemes. However, for each role, navigation is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. The navigation (depending on browser) and the content pages are in separate files, which makes the navigation scheme very convenient to all kinds of users.

Although the site has a heavy back-end accommodating the need for financial calculators, storage for different forms, etc., it is easy to maintain and manage, as it employs:

  • Cascading style sheets
  • Extensive documentation
  • Templates.

The items in the navigation bar are organized in accordance with the logic and purpose of the services the company is striving to advertise. The very number of items makes the content more organized, and is easy to follow for the user:

To reinforce that the site represents the company as a professional, experienced financial group, as they are, and to establish the site’s business nature, a number of photos of first-time homebuyers, homes, family, community, etc. are incorporated into the design, to lure interested and prospective users to read more and find pertinent information.

Among the number user-convenience oriented features, the site offers:

  1. Payment calculator -- a very convenient feature for the users, as they often visit a financial site to try and figure out their payments and what they can afford
  2. Pre-approved application
  3. FAQ feature -- where the users can ask any question important to them, and receive a professional answer from the specialist within 24 hour time, custom tailored to the specific needs of the user.
