Clark Construction Group is one of the nation's most respected and experienced general contractors, with annual revenue over $2 billion. Headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, Clark has eight regional offices that are strategically located to serve the needs of their clients throughout the United States.
CHALLENGE
In early 2001, Clark Construction expressed the need to redesign their current corporate website. The site was developed a few years back, and needed a design and functionality update. Clark needed a website as a means of communication with current and potential clients, to help them learn how the company's services and capabilities can meet people's needs. Clark Construction saw the website as an opportunity to communicate their capabilities, size, strengths and values to a wide variety of customers all over the country, to attract top quality potential employees, and to share information about their projects and community service efforts with the public.
SOLUTION
3H developed a website for Clark Construction, with fresh content capitalizing on Clark's access to a wealth of architectural photography, drawings, and renderings. The look and feel of the site is consistent with the Clark corporate image and brand. The site is easily navigable and has an aesthetically pleasing layout. 3H created a powerful centerpiece graphic buttressed by a strong, clean navigation scheme. Each major category of the website (Capabilities, Portfolio, Careers, Subcontracting, Divisions/Subsidiaries, Contact Us, News, and the Homepage) has a distinct visual feel with the navigation scheme as the common thread that binds the site together.
The website addressed Clark's key concerns:
- Information Security
- Maintenance (site quality issues, finding and fixing broken links and
errors once site is posted, etc.)
- Site access -- visibility for various search engines.
- Site metrics - measurements of hits, capturing of who is visiting site,
what they are looking at, and revisiting users.
