3H Employees Run Marine Corps Marathon

Two of 3H Technology's employees joined the 27th Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday, October 27, 2002. The competition dates back to 1977, following Royal Navy CDR John McDonough's completion of the 2nd Marine Corps Marathon. After enjoying the road and beating several of his U.S. Marine Corps friends, McDonough proposed a challenge for the next Marine Corps Marathon. Teams were formed and a tradition was born. 3H Technology proudly sponsored the two employees for this event.

Heather McMichael and Denise Taylor joined an estimated 17,000 other runners for a run of 26.2 miles. The run begins at Iwo Jima Memorial, goes along the Potomac, around the Pentagon, down the National Mall, around the Capitol Building, then back to Iwo Jima Memorial for the finish.

Both McMichael and Taylor have each previously run two marathons to the 27th Marine Corps Marathon and regularly run throughout the year. However, to prepare themselves, they rigorously trained for two months prior to the marathon. McMichael's finished with a time of 4 hours and 28 minutes; Taylor finished with a time of 4 hours of 33 minutes
