Flash MX

With the recent release of Flash MX, Macromedia has expanded the possibilities of on-line user interaction. Flash has developed from a technology used for lightweight linear animation into a fully capable interface platform. With its low weight vector format and a market share of 96% it has been accepted as the standard for web animation and soon web applications.

In Flash MX Macromedia has greatly expanded the capabilities of their plug-in. Through Macromedia’s remoting capabilities Flash’s capabilities are expanded to integrating with existing back-end solutions such as Microsoft’s .Net. Macromedia has also pushed new mediums with Flash Communication Server, which allow for a very effective method of pushing content to users, be it live video feeds from other live users online (videoconferencing) or merely pushed data.

With all these advancements, 3H has continuously worked closely with Macromedia to ensure that our technical expertise is readily available. With constant participation with macromedia’s development team wherein we’ve played a role in the making of such a product, to early testing. The future of Web Applications are not just HTML driven pages but truly engaging applications that act more like a user expects rather than making the user learn new ways.

3H has already built solutions for clients using Flash, such as fully interactive websites for advanced CBT solutions, and now full application interfaces. We have developed standards and practices on methods of dealing with such a fluid technology, which has allowed us to streamline the development cycle of such projects. 3H is constantly pushing the envelope on new ways of making the web alive and Flash plays a great role in us providing this capability.
